Illustrator for Copilot+ PCs: Wanted, Dead or Alive?

Dear Adobe,

It's July 29th, and your communications about the Illustrator release for Microsoft Copilot+ PCs are as sparse as a Western ghost town at high noon. We're left squinting at the horizon, hoping to see the Illustrator stagecoach roll in, but all we hear is tumbleweeds.

While software development can be as unpredictable as a quick-draw contest, a smoke signal or two wouldn't hurt. We're not asking for a daily telegraph, but some news would be mighty appreciated.

As I saddle up for vacation, I can't help but wonder: will I return to find Illustrator finally in town, or will I need to mosey on over to Affinity's saloon if this radio silence persists?

Looking forward to some news that isn't as elusive as a mirage in the desert heat!

It's been a year and there's STILL no After Effects or Illustrator for my Snapdragon+ PC. I've been skating by with the beta version of Illustrator, but now even that is no longer available to me. I'm really disappointed in Adobe for being unable to keep up with the progression of PCs. If I buy a new computer I want it to last a few years even as technology advances: apparently, Adobe is completely unprepared for processors to improve and advance. After loosing support for Adobe XD last year, and the terrible experience with this in the past few months, I'm looking into Abobe alternatives; I reccomend everyone else do the same.

Hello @cadiec71023771,

Would you mind sharing more details, like the version of the OS installed and the error message you get when trying to install/launch Illustrator (beta), so I can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

When will the PLUG-INS be available for Illustrator (Beta)? The Softmatic Plug-In people say it is a simple Java script.

I had the beta version installed and yesterday it quit working. I am so frustrated at the delay and unreliability of this product; which I pay monthly for. My business relies heavily on Illustrator and I feel like I am left hanging and all I did was buy a new laptop.

Hi,

i need InDesin and Illustartor (SurfacePro 11). Can't find them in the Beta section. Why can i not just download the x86 Version. Should be slow, while emulated but better then noting.

Please give for access throgh beta for this Versions.

What exactly is Microsoft Copilot supposed to do in relation to Adobe Illustrator? Isn't Copilot just some newfangled chat bot? Anyone running Windows 11 is going to see the Copilot icon on the task bar. I have had zero urge to launch it.

Hi @Anubhav M ,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I'm relieved to hear that your team is actively working on Illustrator for Microsoft Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon X Series ARM processors. The confirmation that more details will be available soon is comforting.

I must say, Adobe Photoshop for Windows ARM has been performing exceptionally well on my device, which makes the absence of Illustrator all the more noticeable in my workflow. I truly appreciate your commitment to providing updates directly in this thread.

I apologize if my initial message came across as impatient. It's just that throughout July, there was a complete lack of information, which led to some frustration. Your response has certainly helped ease those concerns.

I'll be looking forward to any news you can share about the release. Thanks again for your understanding and for keeping us in the loop.

Best regards

Maybe @Srishti Bali can shed some light on this?
