Illustrator inverting colors when saving linked PNGs

All of a sudden when saving a file with linked images, AI will invert the colors. Like when reopening the newly saved file, the colors of the linked images will be inverted. I tried updating my graphics driver but did not seem to help. Attached are couple images of what it should be and what is saves as. Color mode is CMYK and as you can see from the little blue boxes at the bottom, JPGs save fine.
