Illustrator is not copy and pasting on PC platform

Hi All,

looking for some help. Our company just did a server update and now a large portion of our team is unable to copy and paste within illustrator. Occasionally it will work only seconds later to fail. or when copying text, when pasted the text goes to the default size and style.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be doing this? we've already tried resetting our preferences and restarting the computers.

I should also say initially when we started up the SVG code was checked under preferences so ai was only pasting code. Not sure if this helps or not.

TIA for any help that can be given. You dont realize how often you copy & paste until it doesn't work anymore.

What exactly are you trying to copy? Can you paste into another program such as Photoshop?

If you restart your computer with . no other apps but Illustrator up, and your clipboard works for awhile.l and then fails would refer you back to my original post, and you may have missed something.

Have had this happen to me a few times, and each time was on windows platform at home, even though I work primarily on Mac. To fix

Check your recently installed apps, google anything you do not know and remove if appropriate
Run malwarebytes
close all apps except web browser, flush your cookies in your privacy tab of most web browsers & restart computer

Thanks for the suggestions mike – unfortunately none of these fixed our problem.

Could it be a clipboard issue of some kind?

Which version on which asystem is it?

Do you have any clipboard enhancements installed in the system?
