Illustrator is not working at all PLEASE HELP

I cant even open illustrator.

It was working without any issues up until Monday 2/26. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, run the Cleaner, deleted old files and settings, tried an older version of illustrator, even tried Illustrator on a different OS. Tried all the steps again with restarting the PC between steps. It's just not working. Other programs like photoshop, aftereffects, and zbrush work well, illustrator is the only program with a problem.

my backup device:

I can at least open illustrator but cannot work on my necessary files. Once I start working, the memory usage spikes up to over 45gb and crashes my macbook.

8gb RAM

8 GB of RAM on your Macbook is not sufficient.

 

As for your PC, you might want to contact Customer Care: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html They can login to the system.

Which is why it is strange that the program at least opens and somewhat works on my laptop, and not at all my desktop

There might be a gazillion reasons for that apart from RAM. Please contact Customer Care. It's their job.
