Illustrator is unresponsive when the system wakes from sleep mode

The Adobe Illustrator app works smooth until the system goes to sleep and when the system awake the app is completely unresponsive. None of the clicks work anywhere, I have to force quit the app and repoen it and only then it works fine again. But sometimes when I don't save a file I lose all the effort. The recover option never works, just spoils the work instead so that's never useful. I never faced this issue of unresponsive illustrator until recently. It started just a couple of months ago after the latest updates.
