Illustrator issue or Mac issue?

I have a brand new mac and am working in Illustrator. Over the course of about a week I've started getting the colorful round spinning thing, and now within the last two days, these have started popping up. Apple Care seems to think it's Illustrator, I'm unsure if that is it or a graphic card issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator, and it is very slow. Since it's a Sat there are no Adobe agents to contact, I'm hoping someone here can at least tell me to try with Apple again, or walk away for the weekend. Ha. Thank you.

I haven't been able to resolve this issue and I was told an Adobe head tech would get in touch with me in 24 hours, or at least I would be contacted in within 24 hours to set up a call. That didn't happen and Adobe sent me a message that my case was closed. So if anyone else has ideas I'd love to hear them.

Also, try running Illustrator under Safe Mode (https://adobe.ly/3ReSrpr) and under a different admin account (https://adobe.ly/3QTEVXV) and share your observations.
