Illustrator keeps switching screen and reopening when I close

My Illustrator reopens even when I close the software. Also when I switch to a different screen it changes back to Illustrator after a while. It took me some time to type this because the screen keeps switching. I am on the latest version of the software.

PLease tell us the version number of your Illustrator.

Also: which system is it?

    My MacBook Pro is an M1 (OS Ventura) with Adobe Illustrator version 27.8.1. Restarting my system stopped the random switching, but I did this 2 weeks ago as a remedy.

    You mean the last time you rebooted the system was 2 weeks ago?

     

    I know that Apple users believe that their system can run for 30 years without ever rebooting, but that is not true. Desktop systems are not meant for 24/7 use.
