Illustrator lagging when in overprint mode

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has a solution to illustrator lagging in overprint mode? I have tried everything but nothing seems to help. Even if I have a blank page open it still lags. Slow to zoom in and out and move across the page, move an object. I have un installed and re installed different versions of illustrator and still the same, all the basic setting changes etc but nothing has fixed it. Any help much appreciated, thank-you

I don't experience the slow Overprint mode (and don't know a solution for that), but instead of Overprint you may try to use the Darken Blend Mode. Of course that depends on why you need Overprint, if it is for separating spot colors, Darken will work as well.
