Illustrator & Laser production

Hello guys

My problem. We have Laser cutter machine working with Illustrator. There is one big problem with the sequence of cutting profiles from illustrator.

The logical sequence should be firstly graving (that works fine) than holes on the panel and at least outline of the panel. But my laser works different and the sequence depends on path order. If you put outlines at first then it will be cut at first what I don't want.

I found that illustrator save the sequence of the path into file and every path has an own name. My laser cut path by path by this sequence.

Any help?

thanks a lot

    Hi

we have LaserProv2 from GCC http://www.gccworld.com/goods.php?act=view&no=3

and most of our production looks like on the picture.

the software is very poor for special options.

in my case at first are cut holes and then outlines. the red line is for cut and green and black for graving.

Copy into new sheet works but we have a lot of production and change everything takes much time. Maybe some script exists for that. I was searching for that and couldn't find anything.

I'm not aware of any scripts or plugins that change the creation order of objects (if that can be changed anyway).

So you might need to hire an expert to create one for you. Or contact the people who made this laser cutter on how to work with that thing.

You will need to give us further information.

    Which device exactly is this?

Does it have its own driver?

    Is there a documentation available?

What about copying and pasting the parts into a new file?

The producer of that laser device cannot expect you to draw the objects in the correct order. So there must be an option in the driver.

    Try changing the stacking order.
