Illustrator Line Entend Behaviour

Hey!

Up until rececntly my Illustrator has shown the extend line feature when an anchor point is selected with the Direct Selection Tool. Now when I select a point with it it will not snap to extend the line along a certain vector and is in a more free move way. Does anyone know how to turn this back on?

Thanks!

Jackson,

Ctrl/Cmd+H.

It toggles Hide/Show Edges; with hidden Edges, the Handles vanish.

It is probably a keyboard mishit for a nearby keystroke shortcut that seemingly failed to work, and your failing to realize that something else may have happened, then just trying again (what you thought you did) and getting it right and forgetting about it.

Ctrl/Cmd+H is probably the most frequent keyboard mishit, completely surrounded by other keyboard shorcuts, closing in on all sides.
