Illustrator locks up when going to Scripts

Every time I try to use the Scripts feature, this new Illustrator locks up. Every single time.

So when I go to File-->Scripts-->Other Scripts, I get the window "Locate script file to execute" with the message "Working on it..." and that's as far as Illustrator gets. It never finishes "Working on it..." and I have to abort and restart. It never gets close to loading the window to access the drives/folders/files.

This makes it impossible to use the Scripts I've been collecting for three decades.

While we wait for a solution, you can run your scripts by dragging them into the Ilustrator window.

Thank you, Carlos! That worked. And I'm relieved to know it's not just me.
