Illustrator Logging Number Inputs in Font-Size Field as Individual Changes

Just wanted to point out how it's dumb that that Illustrator logs every single number intput into the font size field as individual changes.

This makes for a very awkward user experience when doing Ctrl-Z or Shift-Ctrl-Z back and forth for type size comparison.

Seriously though, how does the text field log each number input as invididual changes? Isn't it only applied once I click Enter?

To give you an example of what's happening:

Let's say I want to go from 10 to 16 point. I want to enter 16 instead of click-click-clicking my way up to it. When I type the number 1 into the field, before I type the number 6, Illustrator logs that as a change. So when I click Ctrl-Z, Ctrl-Shift-Z to compare sizes, it shows that type at 1 piont (ONE POINT?!) in between.

Kind of a small thing, but kind of not, considering how much type is used in graphic design.

😕😕

Hi. can you please tell us which OS you're using? Reading this, it occurred to me that I hadn't encountered that, so I tried it. On my MacOS 10.13.6 with the newest Illustrator, it doesn't do that. It starts wtih 12pt, I type in 16, and when I Undo/Redo, it jumps from 16 to 12 to 16. I wonder if this is an OS issue?
