Illustrator malfunction

Since yesterday some Illustrator functions don´t work at all: Guidelines aren´t visible on the page i´m working on; I can´t import some images from my library; once I import them to my work they stay attached to the page and dont allow me to move or transform it.

  1. iMac 3,8 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 nucleus
    2. MacOS Ventura
    3. Illustrator 28.1 (2024)

That image needs to be embedded and then possible ungrouped. Maybe clipping masks released.

As for the guideline.

Can you try and go into CPU preview?

I've moved your post from Using the Community (for forum questions) to Adobe Illustrator.

  • What have you done so far? Have you reset Preferences?
  • When did this start and and did you make any changes to your setup?

I haven´t done anything yet. I didn´t know that I had to reset preferences...¿where and how can I do that?   It started yesterday and I didn´t do anything before

You might want to rename the folder as that can be made undone when it doesn't help
