Illustrator menu items not available

I just updated to Illustrator 26 and there are a ton of things I can no longer access the way I used to. I cant select same color, menu is grayed out. Its not a live paint or anything. I can draw 2 shapes on a new doc and got to select and it will not let me. Also cant use Pathfinder option not avaible. Most of the menu items are all grayed out?????

Hello @matthew_6055,

Thanks for confirming. Could you check if Illustrator behaves this way with specific files? Also, try to run Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble using menu items in Illustrator. The current version of Illustrator is 30.1. Would you mind confirming if you have the current version installed? Please share the details of your operating system.

Please try signing out of Illustrator & Creative Cloud Desktop, restarting the machine, signing back into the Creative Cloud Desktop app, and launching Illustrator.
