Question

Illustrator mouse wheel scroll speed is scrolling very very little.

When I scroll in any illustrator window with my mouse wheel it scrolls very slow. 

for example scrolling fonts, its one font at a time when yesterday it was a dozen or so. 

I checked all of my settings and used a different mouse its not my mouse or my computer. Its an illustrator issue.

    That does seem strange. Could you share more details, such as the exact versions of the OS/Illustrator installed, and whether this started happening after a recent update/change, so we can better assist you?

    Also, try resetting Illustrator's preferences as described in this article (https://adobe.ly/4wa7bbT) and share your observations.

     

    Disclaimer: Please note that renaming preferences folders will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also save a backup of the folders in case you want to. The location is mentioned above.

    I’ve got Illustrator CC and its up to date.

    I’m trying to avoid resetting everything since I don’t want to have to set it all back up

    Before resetting your preferences, I’d try one more thing.

    Does the slow scrolling happen only in Illustrator document windows, or also in panels like Layers, Properties, or Preferences? If it’s limited to document windows, that may point to a display or GPU-related issue rather than the mouse wheel itself.

    You could also temporarily disable GPU Performance (Edit > Preferences > Performance) and see if the scrolling behavior changes. It’s a quick test that doesn’t affect your existing settings, and it can help narrow down whether the issue is related to rendering rather than your mouse or preferences.
