Illustrator new document dialogue box invisible

When I open illustrator and select new file, somehow the dialogue box is invisible. I can hover my mouse around and I've noticed it changes to the select cursor around certain areas, and when I click I'm selecting a certain file size and it creates a new file. I can also click and drag to make the invisible box bigger and smaller. That's how I know it's invisible and not just not opening. It's not a huge issue just a bit bothersome. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I've had it for a couple of months now and nothing has fixed it. I've reinstalled, updated, and reset all options. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Can you check the Preferences > Use legacy "File New" interface option?

Which version do you have?

Oh! Checking that option works! I can now see the legacy new file box. I'm currently using 2025 v 29.0

Thank you!

Good to hear that helped, but it is strange that the default does not work.
