Illustrator no longer showing color for live paint groups after "insufficient memory" crash
I was working on a pretty complex design on my Windows Surface Studio yesterday that I imported from adobe fresco. I converted my paths to live paint groups and filling them in with color, when Illustrator froze and displayed an "Insufficient memory" error code. My computer has plenty of memory, it is a 3k laptop built for graphic design. There were no other applications running at the time, so I have no idea how after nearly two hours of working on this file it suddenly bloated and crashed. The application started flashing black boxes on the screen. It prompted me to report the problem to illustrator, which I did, and then closed the application. I updated Illustrator, my graphics card, restarted the program and my computer multiple times. My file was recovered, but it is no longer displaying color, just my lines and paths. I reset my preferences, tried to view with CPU and GPU. The colors are showing on the preview of this file, and when I use the eyedropper tool, the colors are being picked up. But I physically can't see the color. How do I recover the color on this file?
