Question

Illustrator not recognising dot?

Whenever I try to enter a decimal number in properties, I have to use a comma, but I would like to be able to use the dot (.) since that is the sign on my number pad on the keyboard, and it would make typing a lot easier. Does anyone know if there is a way to change this?

    Hello @lindanncd

That does seem strange. Could you confirm the exact version of Illustrator installed and share the Mac System Report (https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/syspr35536/mac) so we can check this with the product team?

    Looking forward to your response.

It’s probably your OS settings. You didn’t mention if you are on Mac or Windows, but it would be System Settings/Settings under region.

On a Mac I have already tried that and it doesn’t work.

Worked on my Mac after restarting Illustrator.

It should follow what you have set up in the system, but it doesn’t. So I assume that is a bug.
