Illustrator not showing embeded images in some devices

I have embedded and saved several images in an Illustrator file with the "CC" format. It used to open the file correctly on my computer. but now it does give this error: " Could not find the linked file. Choose to replace or ignore." When I open the same file in another computer it opens it fine! Other computers have older versions of Illustrator, whereas the one I created the file in has the CC version. I appreciate if anyone can fix this problem for me. Thanks.
