Illustrator Opened my Logo file and merged all vector layers into one.

Hi,

 

I have a logo created on illustrator and it was saved on my USB stick and now I have plugged it into another computer at uni & opened the .ai file. It says it has recovered the file the best it can even though it was already succesfully saved and now it has merged all my vector layers together.

 

Any help or advance as to why this happened would be appreciate, even a resolution would be amazing.

USB sticks are not reliable media.

the file got corrupted and you opened the PDF part.

Hope you still have the original file.

    Yeah I thought the USB stick might be a potential issue, I usually work from a hard drive.
