Illustrator opening file issues

Hi All,

Illustrator opens a file and it will either show up blank, or it will show up as the file that is already open.

For example, I have an ai file open that I am working on, and I open a Photoshop eps and it will have the file name of the Photoshop file, but be the same image on screen as the ai file already open.

I have to quit and restart whenever this happens, which has been 3x today.

Any ideas?

Will it be possible for you to share a few screenshots or small video of the issue along with the following details:

  • OS (Exact version of Windows/MAC)
  • Version of Illustrator
  • Where the files are saved(Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System /External HDD)?
  • Is it happening with some particular files?

This will help us understand the issue and troubleshoot accordingly. Looking forward to your response.

    You mean that you are opening it in PS and need to open it in Ai ?!
