Illustrator Path Blend plug-in issue

I recently opened a Illustrator file with some blend shapes. It triggered a pop up that says “The Document contains elements that are managed by plug-ins that are not currently available. You can delete or expand these elements but you cannot manipulate them in other ways. The missing plug-in is Adobe Path Blends.”

The layer with blend shape appears as <Plug-in object> in my layers and its position is not the same as it's outline.  I also cannot move it.

The I tried restarting my AI and reinstalling it but nothing fixed it. Does anyone have any experience solving this?
