Illustrator Path Blend plug-in issue

Question

I recently opened a Illustrator file with some blend shapes. It triggered a pop up that says “The Document contains elements that are managed by plug-ins that are not currently available. You can delete or expand these elements but you cannot manipulate them in other ways. The missing plug-in is Adobe Path Blends.”

The layer with blend shape appears as <Plug-in object> in my layers and its position is not the same as it's outline. I also cannot move it.

The I tried restarting my AI and reinstalling it but nothing fixed it. Does anyone have any experience solving this?

​@Jason26838464h4sbThere have been modifications in the recent versions in the way Blends can be created.Opening those files in older versions give that message. Make sure to have the latest version when opening those files.
