Illustrator pixel perfect vectors preview completely inaccurately

Pixel perfect preview is completely disfuctional for me. I have attempted everything i could think of or find online for months over multimple software revisions with nothing helping.

I have tried GPU and CPU preview (disable GPU rendering in settings).  I get completely disfunctional results in either case.

I should have ample processing for anything illistrator can throw at me on my 64gb M1 Max Macbook pro.  but i cant even get a preview that represents what the file looks like. Once I zoom into the file enough to see the pixels the preview is useless.  Either the preview completely fails (see attached video).  or pixel perfect graphics (even exact rectangles on 3px x 3px lined up perfectly on the grid and coardinents are confirmed to be perfect) appear to be anti aliesed and show no clear edge detail or take the shape of curved or jags instead of the straight lines i know them to be.  when i export or save for web though the file is pixel perfect.  It makes it completely impractical to do pixel perfect work when the only way to see what the file looks like it to export it.

Any help woiuld be greatly appreciated

There is no pixel perfect preview in Illustrator. There is a pixel preview, which shows how the image would be converted to pixels when exported as such.

THis is a placed image you have there. I'm not sure what you are expecting? I'm also not sure what you want to show us with that video.
