Question

Illustrator Relink button in Links Panel will not let me link multiple placed files anymore

Before the new "Search for missing links in this folder" checkbox was added, the Relink button in the Links panel would allow me to select several placed files in my document and relink them all, one at a time, starting with the object in the front. Now if I select more than one placed file, it only replaces the frontmost file, and deselects the rest of them, unless I uncheck this checkbox.

Instead of messing around with a totally different UI for linking files from what has worked in the past, either adopt the superior InDesign linking methodology or leave the workflow alone. I'm unaware of any benefit to this new checkbox, because Illustrator used to automatically find missing files in the folder once you find one, and the Relink button worked properly, allowing you to relink files one at a time.

If you're going to fix anything, give us the ability to assign a keyboard shortcut to Relink...that would go a long way.
