Illustrator - Resetting Preferences loses favourite fonts?

Hi All

I foolishly reset my preferences  in Illustrator to try and get rid of a stroke scaling issue, and I've realised that my extensive list of starred / favourite fonts has disappeared. Is there any way to get them back? I've searched the web but I cant find anything concrete.

Holding thumbs. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Hugh22529954bue4,

I hear you, losing your starred fonts after a reset is definitely frustrating. Unfortunately, resetting preferences does remove custom settings like favourites, and unless you had a backup, there's no way to recover them.

For the future, you can export your preferences from Illustrator so they're safe if you ever need to reset again. Refer the backup section the article here: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with.
