İllustrator rotate " Alt + Mouse Click = Error "

When using the rotate tool in the illustrator program, sometimes, due to an old habit, when you Alt + Mouse click, illustrator freezes and cannot be fixed. This makes me very angry, can you please fix it as soon as possible.

    There is some process running on your computer that causes this. Some mouse enhancer, keyboard enhancer? Some screensharing or whatever application.

    Maybe one of the things from this list:

    • WebRoot
    • Apple Terminal
    • Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • »Enable Full Keyboard« in Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard on Mac OS
    • Apple Mail, Outlook
    • Spacebar is used as a shortcut by the system
    • Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari
    • Wacom Desktop Center, Wacom settings
    • Windows Touch Pad problem
    • LastPass, Bitwarden (password managers)
    • The VPN

    I have examined everything you said one by one and yes, my Wacom tablet is having problems with its settings in Illustrator. I use a mouse with windows settings and there is no problem. But when I switch to Wacom, the same problem persists. Won't they make an update for wacom?

    Wacom is currently not compatible. HEaven knows when they have an update for their driver. You should watch their website for announcements.

      Alt + click with the rotate tool selected should open the options dialog for the tool. Is it possible the dialog window is opening on a different monitor or is otherwise hidden? What happens if you alt+click, then press enter or esc?

      You have something selected

      Then switch to the rotate tool

      Alt and Mouse click?

       

      I don't see an issue with that.

       

      Did you already reboot?

      Reset the preferences?

      I can't fix it in any way and it doesn't offer an option to fix it, everything is locked.

      Did you already reboot your system?
