illustrator saves very slow in foreground

Question

I have 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K 3.19 GHz and 64 GB Ram with 4 GB Nvidia graphics card.

While working on Heavy files, usually 1 to 1.5 GB, at the time of saving it takes a lot of time. Normall,y i have to save the files first and then convert to PDF to save as a preview version of a 1 master artboard out of multiple artboards.
Is there any other workflow to speed up this process, maybe with Adobe Bridge or some other plugin to do this in background ?

Are you saving the files on a local hard disc? If so, is the disc a solid state drive or a traditional platter-based hard disc? Illustrator files 1-1.5GB in size will take time to save, even on a fast SSD. Some of this also depends on the nature of the artwork. Live raster-based effects (glows, drop shadows, etc.) and possibly a high document raster effects setting can make a difference in performance.

It might be worth opening Windows' Task Manager to see what other processes are running in the background. Those may not cause noticeable performance issues when working on modest sized files, but they could make a difference when working on big files.
