Illustrator starts automatically (windows)

I don't want Illustrator to start other than when I want it to. It starts automatically when I turn my computer on and I hate it. It slows everything down and occupies lots of memory. How do I stop this?

Check the autostart folder and otehr auto-start options in your system settings. Nothing to do with AI. Something borked up your stuff. without any system information and otehr details we can't be more specific than that.

I have Windows 10 Pro version 21H2. There is nothing Illustratorlike in Auto start. Can it have something to do with Creative Cloud? There is something called CCXProcess and CCXProcess.exe in the Auto-start settings.

When you say Auto start do you mean the StartUp folder?

press the Windows logo key + R, type shell:startup, then select OK - what's in that folder?
