Illustrator suddenly will not allow me to save, save as, or export. (version 28.4.1)

I have never experienced this issue before but not only is this issue happening on illustrator, but other applications like indesign and photoshop. I can edit my files but when it comes time to save or export, it does not. I press the save button, the loading (swirling rainbow) icon appears for a few seconds, and then nothing. No error message pops up and it still won't save or bring up the usual menu for "save as" or "export". I'm in the middle of finals so this is the worst possible time this issue could be happening.

  2. Are you utilizing any desktop management applications such as Magnet or Rectangle?
  3. Where are you saving your files (Network Drive/System HDD/Shared Folder on System/External HDD)?

The first step I would try is logging out of your Creative Cloud account, re-booting the computer and then logging back into the account. Doing that can flush out some odd behaviors and get all of the sync processes refreshed.
