Okay, not sure if I am posting to the wrong place for this but I created something in illustrator and I can't remember what I did to get there. I know it had something under the objects path, but I have tried everything to recreate it. The image to the left is what I am working from, what I want to get to is the image on the right. Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help.

Thank you, I actually had to expand it and then use Pathfinder > Exclude.
