Illustrator v29.7.1 (and up) | NOT updating links AUTOMATICALLY.

Hi everyone.

 

I've been having a problem for a few versions of Illustrator. I didn't have this problem before.
After linking a PSD file and selecting the option in the settings (FILE HANDLING > UPDATE LINKS - AUTOMATICALLY), Illustrator doesn't update the links; it only does this once every few times.

I've checked it on two computers now - the problem occurs on version 29.7.1 and UP and not on version 29.0.1 and below - on this version on the same computers work perfectly.

Does anyone have a solution?

 

My computer is Mac Studio M4, system is Tahoe 26.3.1

    I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Could you check if this happens with specific files or files stored in a particular folder location (internal/external/network drive or a cloud-synced folder like iCloud Drive/OneDrive/etc), so we can better assist you?

    Hi Anubhav, 

    I only use files on the main drive. I don't access any files outside of that drive. The problem is evident with versions starting with version 29.7. I've tested it on two different computers, and on both, version 29.01 works fine, but 29.7 and later works poorly.

    Thanks for confirming. Could you check if you have Full Disk Access enabled for Illustrator (if not done already), and then relaunch the app to see if the problem persists?

    If it does, kindly share a brief screen recording of the problem, so we can investigate further.

    ​@Hektorrr my work computer is using macOS Tahoe 26.3.2 but it seems okay on my end. Yes, my work scoop up the Macbook Neo (testing it out for the weekend before giving it back on Monday!). I did try uploading and updating, but it seem to work for me
