Question

Illustrator very inconsistent in saving files?

Sometimes CC 2017 Illustrator will allow me to save a file, other times it tells me an "Unknown Error Occurred." I've been creating new files and saving those until I get the message again and then create yet another file (by copying and pasting into a new document). These are very simple files. Anyone else having this problem??

    Is a printer connected?

Are all layers unlocked and visible?

What operating system version are you on? (Please include when posting on the forums)

    Try refreshing your OOBE files.

    MAC

    Quit Illustrator

    Quite Adobe Cloud

Move the contents of this folder to you desktop

    /Users/(YOURNAME)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE

Start illustrator, you can then trash the files is all is successful.

I'm on Sierra, and this is my first experience with Creative Cloud. I've used Illustrator for many, many years, and have never encountered some of the glitches I'm finding with this version. I will try your suggestion and see what happens, thanks.

If you are still having trouble let us know if you are saving to a local drive or network. Please run Applications/utility/Disk Utility and let us know of any red messages that come up. Run (repair disk & permissions)  until you can get to run clean.

Good luck, and we are here to help you until your issue is resolved.
