Illustrator Warp Effect

Hi everyone! This question may sound very specific. A few days ago, I was working on Illustrator and I created a circle with the shape tool, and then added an effect from the Effects panel that allowed me to warp it, and now I can't seem to find it.

It wasn't one of the preset effects, because I warped it myself by stretching one of the sides. It was an Effect and not a tool from the toolbox. The effect worked by grabbing the shape and pulling, not with a slider. If I stretched the circle too much, it cut off from one side and reappeared from the other, kind of like a like repeating a pattern. Here are the circles I created with that effect. Could someone help me find it?

Did you add the shape into Photoshop as Pixels or as Smart Object? If the last, you can open it for editing in Illustrator and find the effect.

The only "pulling" vector effect is Free Distort, but it does not create such complex forms as on your top image. I suppose you've used some more tools on it.

Maybe you used Object > Envelope Distort > Make with Mesh?

If it was an Effect you should be able to see and adjust it in the Appearance panel with the object selected.

If you used the effect and Expanded the Appearance, there is no way back.

    I was originally working in Photoshop and just used Illustrator for that quick shape and closed it 😞
