Question

Illustrator won't load a specific project, it gets stuck on loading while the rest open immediately

Hi!

This is the first time I turn to the community, mainly because my issue is frustrating and seems to happen for no reason.

I started working on a project, it barely has something there, mostly inspo pics I copy-pasted into the workboard. After a day of not using Illustrator but still keeping it running in the background, the screen seemed a bit wonky and some features didn't work so I thought maybe relaunching the system will fix it, but since then I'm unable to load this project.

Illustrator launches, presents all my projects and when I press this specific one it just get stuck on loading (the rest open immediately, even heavier ones)

By now I have already updated both CC and Illustrator but still nothing... Basically I can start over but this just bugs me, literally.

Please help

Thanks

HI @SHIR5FD9,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble opening a specific project in Adobe Illustrator. I understand how frustrating it can be when you can't access your work.

As Kurt suggested, it would be helpful if you could share the file with us so that we can take a closer look. If the file is saved locally on your computer, you can share it by following these steps on this community post (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/share-your-files-in-6-simple-steps/td-p/12967531).

If the file is saved as a cloud document, you can share it by following these steps:

  1. Go to the assets website (https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents).
  2. Select the document you're having trouble with and click on the "Share" button.
  3. In the "Share" dialog box, click on "change."

  4. Ensure "Save a copy" & "Anyone with the link can view" are selected

  5. Copy the link and paste it here or share it with me via DM.

Once we have access to the file, we can try to open it on our end and further investigate the issue.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Anshul Saini

Can you share this Illustrator file for inspection?
