Illustrator won't open. Loads for hours.

Hi,

Never posted her before but here we go: I have the latest version of all the apps and creative cloud through the student discount bundle. As of yesterday, Illustrator has decided to never open again. It won't even open in "safe mode" or let me run diagnostics.. I have uninstalled the application multiple times and every time I reinstall it, it doesn't open, I have an assignment due at 2:20 and I can't open any files to export them to turn in. Can someone please help me?

The linked document describes for MacOS some arcane terms that I'm afraid I don't understand. Usually, when we get an upgrade to Illustrator, we run into this problem and sign into library>Prefs>illustrator> and delete the prefs. That generally fixes everything. Not this time, and by a long shot. Marliton, can you check the MacOS instructions and confirm? Now entering day two of not working in illustrator. Do you know if there's someplace at adobe that we could download the old version of Illustrator 24?
