Ilustrator file will not save on NAS

I am on a Mac Studio - saving files to a Synology NAS - whenever I try saving a Illustrator file my computer freezes.

I am not able to connect online - and it takes about 5 min - then everything is fine and I can go online. It does not matter if I am on wifi or ethernet, or what format I am saving - any suggestions my computer freezes? I have tried to rebooting, reinstalling program.....

AI is simply terrible with network saving. For the rest you have not provided nearly enough info to make any sense like the actual network configuration, config of the NAS etc.. You may need to work on that. Out of the box configurations are not always the best.

Sorry that I did not add everything - the NAS I have used for 6 years on a PC - I have moved to a Mac OS 13.4.1 NAS Synology DS416 running DSM7.1.1

it has been running perfectly with my PC but when I moved to the Mac - it will save Indesign files no problem - PS files no problem - just Illustrator files have issues - the computer freezes - takes about 5 min to save any format of the file and the file is not large at all - then I lose connection to the NAS have to reconnect and it works, reload Illustrator and try again and same thing - been trying to fix this for months and I have tried tweaking just about every setting I can think of - tried it with Wifi - differnent ethernet cables - nothing works - I can save directly to the hard drive, just not to the NAS. So weird that only this software is giving me issues.
