Image links broken in Illustrator 29.8 for different users

We work as a team on Windows, files are linked from an area like "C:\Users\UserName\SharedDrive\" where the user name changes based on the team member.

Illustrator 29.4 can handle this change. For example, if Jane and I are working on the same file, she can place a file with a link C:\Users\Jane\SharedDrive\file name.jpg, and when I open the file, Illustrator updates the link to C:\Users\Sarah\SharedDrive\file name.jpg with no issues.

Jane updated to Illustrator 29.8.2 and suddenly all her links appear as missing on my computer. I tried also updating to 29.8.2 and links remained broken. We both downgraded to 29.4 and she resaved the file, links are working again for both computers. This seems to be a bug in Illustrator 29.8.2.

Thanks again for sharing all the details. Could you please check if this same behavior occurs in Illustrator 30.0(latest release) and let me know your observations?
