Image Trace Feature - what happened to my original imported scan?

So I placed a JPEG file, then ran the Image Trace feature. Now what happened to my JPEG? It's not in the layers menu, and I can't seem to see it in the document. I want to move away from the vector date and discard it, so all I have left is the vector data.

    Correct answer John Mensinger

If/when you Expand the Image Trace result, the raster image is removed from the Illustrator artboard and file. It is still resident wherever it was stored when you placed it.

Before you Expand the image, the Source Image can still be viewed — with or without the paths.
