Image Trace is Scratchy

So, I copied and pasted a flattened artwork from Photoshop to Illustrator, image traced it and expanded it, and it looks scratchy. I saved it as a PDF and it looks like it normally should, without any scratchy lines but I need to see what I'm working on. This is the newest version of Illustrator 2017. My user was switched so I lost all my settings.

Many thanks in advance!

    Maybe caused by GPU preview?

Try to switch between GPU and CPU preview; Cmd E (or Ctrl E on Win).

Hard to advise you as we don't know your preview settings, your image trace settings, or much else.

    As Ton Frederiks pointed out:

If it's displaying as expected in PDF it could just be the Preview mode you are using in Illustrator.

    Best,

Sorry for the lack of information, I rarely use Illustrator. Pressing ctrl E solved it for me, thanks very much!
