Image Trace reverted to old version and trace feature is low lighted

Recolor art window froze. I couldnt shut down bc couldnt close the window. I could move the window around, but unable to ok/Cancel out of window. I had to force quit. On reboot of AI the image trace reverted back to the old version. I checked and updates we all done and none avail. I relaunched update but no change. When using older Image Trace now, the Trace feature is low lighted. If I uncheck Preview box, Trace lights up but doesnt not work. Currently I have no access to my image trace. Pics below show Image Trace low lighted, then highlighted if I turn off Preview...but in either case Trace function isnt working. Please help, what do I do??
