Estoy tratando de abrir una imagen para vectorizarla y me dice que no se puede abrir. Está en formato JPEG y no debería presentar ningun problema para abrirla.

Thanks, you can also change it to JPG, or save it with ´PAINT. Those are other options to apply.

Do you know how the jpg was generated? If from a phone, it could be 16 bit. To use in AI it needs to be 8 bit. Open it in Photoshop and resave as 8 bit.

Yes I can After being converted to JPG or opened with PAINT. Also if you load it with PHOTOSHOP, you save it as a PSD file, it is possible to place it with illustrator.
