Question

importing illustration styles from one page to next

Hi Illustrator Community:

I'm illustrating a chilldren's book and wanted to know if it's possible to extract an illustrative style (I've used a cut paper and stippling technique) from the first few pages to use as a fill texture in the additional pages as a time saver, being able to play with changing the color, modifying texture, etc.)

I read somewhere about creating a 'graphic style', but not sure if this is what I'm looking for as a tool to achieve above.

Or if there's a feature in illustrator that allow you to choose pixels from extisting illustration/graphic and mimic them in to a spray paint that may be easier than importing patterns, being able to change colors, please share!

Graphic styles may work, but it's a bit difficult to tell without seeing an actual sample Illustrator file with some further instructions about what exactly you want to do.

Can you share a sample file?
