Impossible to make outlines from warped text?

In the past, when I was using earlier AI versions than CS5 it was no problem to warp text and then create the outlines of the text. Now, the option “create outlines” disappears when I do right-click on the warped text.

Good day all. It’s not allowing me to click object in the Expand window...it’s not highlighted for me to select it.

Deselect all
Select type
Create Outlines

works in CS4.

My appearance attributes are still editable, which I like.
