Question

Inconsistent Colors - Illustrator on Windows

My colors are all wrong in illustrator, and illustrator alone. Everything is fine in photoshop, however when i try to select 100% yellow in illustrator i get orange! its insane! and the worst part is that the colors are actually correct, its just how the interface of illustrator works. When I try to screen shot, then place the image in another app, the colors look fine. Not sure what to do, I've been messing with my color settings to see if that makes any difference, but nothing helps at all. It makes it impossible to use the program with color. Again, I don't have this problem with photoshop or acrobat, just illustrator. What is going on?

I would suggest that you contact Adobe support, they can have a look into your machine.

When in the chat, ask for an Agent:

Can you try and turn off the GPU acceleration in the Illustrator preferences?

I was hoping this was the answer, but it didn't change the colors unfortunately.

You could try to set in your computer's monitor settings the profile to sRGB.

In the Illustrator Color Settings, select one of the default settings for your region, like Europe or Noth Amerika General Purpose.

Do you have multiple monitors?

I do have multiple monitors. I have tried all of the possible settings options, and all the RGB options (under the "working spaces" category) that are available, and none of them give me the correct colors on either monitor. My only options for my monitor to display in are RGB and YCbCr (RGB is the current setting used)

And if you do not use the external monitor, do the colors behave like expexted?

Please show your color settings.

How do you place your screenshots?

Which document color mode is it?

Which color profile?

Do you use the soft proof?
