Incorrect dimensions on artboard

Hello!

I was hoping that someone can assist me with my AI problem.

I create a DXF file on Solidworks and then import it to AI. The dimensions have to be accurate as the product I make relies on having correct dimensions for it to work.

I seems that everytime I place a file on AI the dimensions change and I can not figure it out at all.
