Questions

How do I save the color swatches I always work with so they load every time I reinstall Illustrator or when I use a different computer to load my settings? I have many things automated and my shortcuts are also the ones I've used for several years.

I could really use some help.  Any time that I open .pdf floor plans in Illustrator it replaces my font with boxed xyz's.  I am stumped.  The fonts in the document are Arial and Arial Bold, which are downloaded and accessible in Illustrator.  I can use them both if I am adding new text.  I have Googled this issue over and over and come up with nothing.  I have tried highlighting all of the text and replacing it, and that doesn't work either.  I can "Import .pdf pages as links for optimal performance" and the fonts DO come through, but the document is completely locked and I cannot make any edits.

When I try to use the mockup feature a red bar pops up at the bottom of my screen that reads;"We're experiencing high demand please try again in some time."It has been doing this for three days now. HEEELLLLPPPP. thanks.

Hi, As said in this locked thread, the bug in Illustrator which randomly doubles or skips the artboard numbers (so they definitely will not match the exported PDF's page numbers) STILL exists. Today this cost me a lot of lost time and material since I reprinted and cut the wrong 4 pages on vinyl. Illustrator 29.3.1 on macOS Sequoia 15.3.1   

Recently my AI started stalling . Anytime I swiitch to another app - like photos or safari , when I come back to AI it has completely stalled out and won't do anything unless I close the entire app and reopen it.  Very frustrating since I multitask often while using AI. My iPad is only a year old and I've had AI since I got it and this is a new behavior.  My ipad is updated, my Ai is updated, I'm only using 12% of my adobe cloud space. I've rebooted the app and my ipad more times than I can count and it's still happening constantly. Any thoughts?

Video example  I got a "new" 2019 iMac and installed AI 29.2.1. A lot of the times when I select multiple objects, expand objects, merge objects, etc., it has this really annoying behavior where the entire program freezes, a series of vertices get selected/highlighted, and a line runs across the rulers. This totally slows down my workflow and is extremely obnoxious. I've never experienced it in any previous versions! Is this a setting I can disable? Thank you!

I run the Adobe suite on my Intel iMac Retina 5K 27-inch from 2020 (3,8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB, 128 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Mac OS X 14.7.4, with 400 GB of free disk space). Especially Illustrator (v.29.3.1, but also most of the other Adobe apps) run super slow when it comes to larger files (InDesign and Acrobat don't even need files to be extra large for their very slow UI). E.g. saving a 2.5 GB large AI file takes five minutes or longer while the CPU load hardly exceeds 12% (according to a system monitoring tool). I just wonder: Is it due to a weaker Intel architecture (compared to Apple's M), inefficient software or did I simply fail to configure Illustrator better for higher performance?Does anyone of you experience similar issues or has any advice on improving Illustrator's performance? Thanks! 🙂

Hello all,I am new to this software and trying to work my way through it.Couple issue that I would like to address.1) 16:23 into the video, he say to highlight the star, press alt and it is supposed to change the number of points on said star. After several tries, I can get the star to do about anything, except add more pointsWhat am I missing?2) I have looked in documents for "File Exercises" to follow along with that is mentioned at the 22:53 minute mark. Hello! I'm trying to change the colour of certain elements in a design to gold, so I'm selecting all those elements and changing the colour to gold, but when I hit 'enter' it changes it to a grey/silver? I can't work out what I'm doing wrong. Can someone please help?

In the last few days when I edit an object or amend some text in a document the object becomes invisible. I can't edit anything as it just becomes invisible after I edit it.  Is this already reported bug? It's just started happening in the last few days. I'm using Illustrator 29.3.1. I just updated it today too to check if the bug was fixed but it's still happening.  Thank you

After updating to 29.3.1 the GUI brightness shifts quickly in illustrator. It ONLY happens in illustrator and it happens to the entire app interface, not just the artboard or pasteboard area. It's not a monitor issue or an OS issue. Has anyone else had this problem? specs:MacBook Pro 16in Model: Mac14,10 - M2 Pro 

Suddenly my Gaussian Blur stopped working. I have tried to copy one I did before for this client and got a white box around it. I also tried creating a new one and got a white box around it. It was working fine before but not today. I have restarted Illustrator as well as my mac. Didn't make a difference. Please see the 1st image which is the way it's supposed to look then the 2nd image which is my result. I am running macOS High Sierra Version 10.12.6 and Illustrator 2020.

Hey everyone!My Illustrator project just crashed, and it opened a recovered file, but all the images are gone. Just so you know, I had already rasterized the images, so I thought they’d be safe, but they’re still missing. How is this considered "recovered"? I also lost all the recent icons I worked on and recolored. Now, I have to start over, bringing in all the pictures again, re-clipping, and rasterizing everything.PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I’m using Illustrator 29.3.1 and encountering a strange bug when saving with the “Include Linked File” option. All images in the clipping mask are moved or misaligned.When I uncheck “Include linked file options,” the images are in the correct position.Does anyone experience this issue? Hi everyone, I'm working on a pattern in Illustrator that needs to be transferred to InDesign for a book cover. Normally, I can copy and paste vector elements from Illustrator to InDesign without any issues. However, this time, when I try to paste my pattern (which is quite large and detailed), I get the following error message:"This operation creates a large number of page items, which can negatively affect performance. The data will be placed as an embedded EPS file." The problem is that I need the pattern to remain a vector, as it will be used for die-cutting. An embedded EPS is not ideal. Does anyone know how I can resolve this and ensure that my pattern remains a vector in InDesign? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hello, I bought the Adobe CC a few days ago but the AI generation tool doesn't work. I tried yesterday and it didn't work and I tried to use it the whole day today and still not working. Has someone else experienced the same issue that I do ? Thank you !  

Has anyone else encountered this before?   When I double click into isolation mode theres a flash (just within the ai window) and then my GPU is disabled. Pressing escape to come out of isolation mode works but then I'm left with no animated zoom, and am unable to turn GPU mode back on. (menu greyed out) Once I've saved, closed and reopened the document GPU is once again working. I don't have to restart ai, just a doc.   Most frustrating as isolation mode is now a big part of my work flow. Argh! For now I have had to disable it but would very much like to use it again.   Is this just my machine or an illustrator bug? Mac Pro (Late 2013 The dustybin!) 3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5 64 GB 1866 MHz DDR3 AMD FirePro D700 6 GB Big Sur Version 11.4   Thanks for any help 🙂{Renamed by MOD}
