moving Illustrator CS5 to new Mac I get error 5? Reinstall? repeatedly. I have installed the legacy java file

If you have a new Mac with presumably Sierra then you should know that CS5 is not supported on the latest OS. Your best possible option is to be using CC 2017 which will require a subscription account. Other than that you may have to try rolling back your OS. El Capitan has only been known to have limited success with CS5 using the java file so you might need to go back to Yosemite.
