I installed Mac Os High Sierra, but now my MacBook keeps crashing when I try and start Illustrator CC 2018. I have some deadlines coming up and need it to work. Why is it not compatible? What can I do?

Thanks!

I agree with Monika. High Sierra still seems to have many problems with many of the Adobe apps - especially the CC2018 versions, but even the previous versions are susceptible. Hopefully, you have a backup, so you can reinstall the older OS version and set your system to where it was.

Bill's suggestion is an excellent one as well, but I've found that for the most part, High Sierra's more of the problem than the Adobe apps, in many cases. Just my experience.

If possible downgrade the system.

Installing High SIerra was not a good decision. So many problems still (not only with Illustrator).

Try uninstalling your Illustrator using the uninstaller in the creative cloud desktop app. You can find the uninstaller by clicking on the "V" to the right of the Illustrator app in the app section of the desktop app. Make sure that you delete all previous preference folders as well. Before reinstalling use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool found here Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems. Then reinstall Illustrator through the desktop app and make sure that in the Advanced options that will appear during the install the "Import previous settings and preferences" is unchecked.
