My company uses an unusual deployment method for AI CC: AI is installed without the Creative Cloud application. Is it possible to install new fonts without the CC app?
If yes, how?

Whether on a Mac or PC fonts can (and should) be installed so that they are globally available to all programs installed on your computer. This can be done by installing fonts into designated folders that are part of the operating system or through a font utility such as Font Explorer or Suitcase. They exist independent of the CC applications but, if installed correctly, the fonts will be available to those apps.
