Integrating touch-up work with original clipart

Hi

I’m new to Illustrator, so your feedback is appreciated.

Project Overview

I manually created a piece of clip art, then scanned the document to my computer, moved the document into Adobe Illustrator, Traced the document (converting it to a vector), then touched up the document using the Pen Tool.

Problem

I’d like to move the newly created art but the work separates into two sections: the clip art, and the touch-up work I created with the pen tool, they’re separate.

Question

How do I unify the two sections so I can move the artwork?
